A lawyer who represents a client in forma pauperis is expected to act with professionalism and courtesy to client, court and fellow practitioner. He is not allowed to withdraw from the case without the leave of the court. He is expected to appear in court on the dates on which the case has been set down, unless excused by the court, on prior application. Where he fails to appear, the wasted costs may be borne by him de bonis propriis.
