Practice and procedure — further particulars — application for — particulars need only be sufficient to enable party to plead.
An application for further particulars should not amount to an application for the supply of evidence; all that the party requesting further particulars is entitled to is enough to enable him to plead. Where there was a claim for liquidated damages in respect of repairs to a house, the defendant was entitled to ask for particulars about what the damage was but not how the defendant arrived at the figure claimed.
